VAC Magnetic Core for High Frequency Switching Power Supply TransformersBACK

1. Magnetic Core for High Frequency Switching Power Supply Transformers

Compared to traditional ferrite material, VAC developed nanocrystalline cores have supreme advantages in the application of High Frequency Switch Power Supply Transformers:

(1) High saturation flux density (1.2T, keeps steady even in high temperatures). Therefore, switch power designers are able to adopt a relatively low working frequency in order to reduce the cost of power semiconductors and EMI filters.

(2) Low iron loss (1/4 of ferrite materials under identical working frequencies and flux densities).

(3) High magnetic permeability. Only slight changes occur along with the variation of temperature.

(4) Supreme mechanical characteristics. Capsulated by epoxy resin, the magnetic core possesses very high mechanical strength. Since nanocrystalline has barely any magnetostriction, the component can be casted. VITROPERM ® nanocrystalline is able to resist very strong vibration stress.

(5) Supreme temperature stability (magnetic flux density does not change with temperature -40~120).
